About the Lassonde Co-op/Internship Program:

The program provides you with a form of education that links classroom learning with paid related employment experiences. From day one, Lassonde students will explore their passions in depth and gain perspective from the real world. We are preparing Lassonde students for careers that will look more like a challenging obstacle course than a steady climb up the corporate ladder. Every career will require an entrepreneurial outlook with project-based roles, freelance portfolios and self-employment becoming the norm rather than the exception.

Why choose Lassonde Co-op / Internship?

  • Finance your education - All of the Co-op opportunities are paid allowing you as a student to cover part of the cost of your education, and depend less on loans, grants, bursaries, and other forms of financial assistance
  • Try before you buy - As a student you have the opportunity to work with a variety of employers and can also explore several career options. This allows you to develop a more realistic understanding of the job market and industry, giving you the tools to make more informed decisions upon graduation
  • Foot in the door - Co-op placements give you a jump-start on your career by providing you with valuable, related work experience while completing your academic studies. As a Lassonde student you can gain actual related experience to help set you apart from the competition when applying for your first job after graduation. In addition, you will develop significant resume and job search skills, as well as a network of industry contacts to help you make the right career choices
  • Global Citizenship - As a Lassondian you are considered to be a citizen of the world, and what better way to see the world than to participate in our International Co-op Program? These placements provide a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language and gain relevant work experience in a foreign country
